As They Went
Sometimes God doesn’t change the situation before He tells us to move. Sometimes the miracle happens as we go.
In Luke 17, ten men with leprosy cried out to Jesus for mercy. Jesus gave them an instruction: “Go show yourselves unto the priests.” Their condition had not visibly changed, yet they obeyed. And the Bible says, “as they went, they were cleansed.”
This message, “As They Went,” challenges us to keep moving in faith even when we cannot yet see the evidence of what God is doing.
Faith isn’t just believing that God can do it. Faith is moving because God spoke.
You may be praying, waiting, believing, and wondering when your situation will change. Don’t give up on the process. Keep obeying. Keep praying. Keep declaring God’s Word. Keep praising. Keep taking the next step.
Somewhere between the instruction and the destination, God can give you exactly what you need.
And when He does it, don’t forget to come back and give Him thanks.
Main Scripture: Luke 17:11–19
Key Verse: Luke 17:14 — “And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”
Remember:
• Sometimes God gives instructions before He gives explanations.
• Don’t let the absence of “suddenly” make you abandon the process.
• Sometimes the miracle happens while you’re moving.
• Faith keeps walking even when nothing appears to have changed.
• As you go, God will give you strength for the journey.
• Never become so focused on the blessing that you forget the One who blessed you.
Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep obeying. As you go, know that God is working in the process.
